Great Joy in the Oylam Hatorah: Maran Hagaon R’ A”L Shteineman was B’’H discharged from the hospital this morning. The Rosh yeshiva was hospitalized three weeks ago in the intensive care unit of ‘Mayenei Hayeshua’ Hospital in Bnei Brak, and B’’H, this morning he made his way home.
The discharge comes after his condition significantly improved this past week, yet speaker of the Rosh yeshiva’s house, Koby Rosenstein said this morning, “Maran is still suffering from a severe general weakness, and davening should still be recited for him”.
As previously reported, the Rosh Yeshiva was hospitalized Motsei Shabbos Rosh Chodesh Shvat, due to hardships in breathing. His condition got better at times, and at times took a turn for the worse, during the past three weeks; at one point, it was even critical.
R’ Shteineman personally thanked the doctors who treated him in the hospital, and gave them a Bracha that no takkalah should come from under their hands.
The Rosh Yeshiva’s family members also thanked the team of doctors as well as the staff in the ICU in ‘Mayenei Hayeshua’ hospital, especially professor Eliyahu Sirkin, who devotedly treated the Rosh Yeshiva the past three weeks; and with Siyata Dishmaya he is now being discharged.
The family’s Spokesman said that the there will not be kabalas kahal the next few days, and the tefillos in the rosh yeshiva’s house will be held with a small minyan; people are asked not to bother the Rosh yeshiva’s rest.
R’ Shteienman returned to his house on Rechov Chazon Ish 5, in Bnei Brak, which was just renovated.
“Bechadrei Chareidm” Previously reported that renovations were being done in the Rosh Yeshiva’s house that would be more accommodating for him when he returns home. A wall was erected, creating a hallway between the Rosh yeshiva’s room and the rest of the rooms in the house, providing more quiet for the Rosh Yeshiva.
Since his hospitalization there has been a tremendous chizzuk in learning and davening in yeshivas and kollelim around the world for the zchus of the Rosh Yeshiva.
The tsibbur is still asked to daven for Hagaon R’ Aryeh Yehuda Leib Ben Faygah Gittel, Lerfuah Shleymah Betoch sh’ar Choley Yisroel.
