Will pm Netanyahu be indicated? In a conversation with journalists this morning (Sunday), Police Chief Roni Alshich commented on the ongoing investigation of PM Netanyahu saying “our responsibility is to arrive at the truth.
In most matters, we achieved it, our job is now to bring evidence, and hand the case over to the prosecution so that they can decide if to indict him or not”.
From reading between the lines of what the chief of police said, it can be discerned that police would be handing over to the prosecution evidentiary basis for filing charges against the current serving PM Netanyahu.
“Regarding our part in the case” said Alshich, “we are at the final stretch, and we are giving it an additional push so that it should not take too long. In a few weeks, we will be after the police’s job in the case”.
The Police Chief also commented on the eviction in Um-el-chiran last week, in which a police officer Hy’’d was unfortunately murdered, saying “Regarding the Bedouins, we paid a heavy price that for two hours we did not reveal that an officer was killed. During this time, we should have let the family know. It has a price…”
“There will be a professional investigating into the incident, and that will establish what happened”, said the Police Chief.
He finished off by saying, “At this stage, there is no indication for any motives, aside from what is currently assumed”.
