While the civilian population of Gaza is struggling to feed itself, Hamas continues to use all the means at its disposal to achieve its ultimate goal- killing Jews. As in the rest of the world Hamas understands today’s battle are technological and is therefore putting tremendous effort into acquiring advanced weaponry and state of the art systems

A cell of smugglers on behalf of the Hamas Terror organization has been uncovered. The cell was caught smuggling advanced systems such as close circuit cameras and aviation parts amongst others; using evasive methods such as hiding the materials in TV sets, washing machines, and refrigerators.
The gag order has now been lifted and it has been revealed that the GSS in conjunction with the police and IDF uncovered a cell of smugglers in December of 2016. The cell was engaged in smuggling equipment from Yehuda and Shomron to the Gaza Strip via the “Kerem Shalom crossing.”
It’s believed that the cell managed to smuggle hundreds of cameras for Hamas’s forces In Gaza. In December two members of the cell, Abu Sarya, a merchant from Gaza, and Nadar Maslama also a merchant, from Yehuda and Shomron, were arrested and interrogated by security forces.
The interrogation revealed that in 2016 Abu Saryah smuggled a number of times equipment which is labeled “sensitive” into Gaza. The equipment that was smuggled can be used for either civilian purposes or military purposes and is therefore labeled sensitive. Since there is concern that Hamas will use these materials for their terror activities, Israel requires a special permit to permit these materials into Gaza.
The smugglers used TV’s, refrigerators, and other electronics to get passed the Israeli checkpoint at the Kerem Shalom crossing. The investigation also reveals that the smugglers were aware that their goods were reaching Hamas’s armed wing.
Charges were filed today by the Darom reginal council prosecutor’s office against Abu Saryah and Nader Maslama.
The two will soon appear before a judge in the Shalom court house in Be’er Sheva.
