A young woman who became Torah observant during the process of enlistment was arrested for refusing to serve in the IDF.
A young woman became religious during the enlistment process and unfortunately sent in statement declaring her religious observance late. She ten failed to enlist on her day of enlistment and was arrested. She spent 11 days in jail before being released Sunday.
She was sentenced to 20 days detention but only served 11 due to the intervention of MK's Gafni and Maklev.
It is to be noted that some 100 charedim davened Maariv outside the Russian Compound Friday night in protest of the young woman's arrest.
