Europe Floods: Nine people have died due to flooding in Germany and France is suffering from the worst flooding in decades.

France to Declare State of Disaster

France has declared a state of natural disaster which allows it to free up funds in order to deal with the situation.

The Seine River in Paris is continuing to rise which has prompted the closure of the metro line that runs through the center of the city. The world's most visited museum the Louvre will be closed Friday as a precaution,
According to the weather forecast more heavy rains are expected across central Europe from France to Ukraine. Up to 50mm or rain is expected to fall in some areas in a matter of hours.

3,000 people have been evacuated from the center of Nemours and 25,000 people in central France are without electricity. In some areas the river levels are reaching levels that haven't been seen since the devastating floods of 1910. The mayor of Nemours said, "The center of town is totally under water. All the businesses have been destroyed."

Nine people in Germany were found dead due to the flooding and a nu,mber of others are still missing.

Thirty five mm of water per square meter fell within six hours in Pfarrkirchen Wednesday.

Belgium is also experiencing heavy rainfall with flooding in many areas including around Antwerp.
