At a hearing held at the committee for reform in government services , MK Yisrael Eichler asked that the requirement of a Bagrut certificate in order to find work in civil service. He said," The Sald exams of the charedi high school system (chutzim) should be recognized since they are in fact equivalent to the Bagrut Certificate."
In response to his argument a representative of the Prime Minister's office said that in the near future the plan to incorporate charedim into the workforce in civil service positions will be completed.
