Once again the takanos of the draft law for bnei yeshiva await the ratification of the Defense Minister. The charedi parties had already drafted the exact days of bein hazmanim as well as the details regarding such issues as leaving the country and switching yeshivas. The taknaos were accepted by the outgoing Defense Misniter Moseh Yaalon and now await the approval of Israel's new Minster of Defense Avigdor Lieberman.
The exact rules are as follows:
A bachur has 14 days to renew his request to be excused from the draft after moving to a new yeshiva.
Until the age of 22 a bachru is not allowed to leave the country for more than 60 days, and after 22 he may leave once a year for up to 30 days.
Bein Hazmanin is officially from the 11th of Tishrei until the 30th of Tishrei, from the first on Nissan until the 30th of Nissan and from the fifth of Av until the second of Elul. Roshei Yeshiva are entitled to offer an exchangeable 7 days of vacation.
