Terrible Accident Near Modiin : 7 Injured
Seven people were wounded after midnight Tuesday in a two car collision. Among the wounded is a critically injured toddler who was returning home with his family from a simcha.

After midnight last night a serious two car collision took place at the Gamzo Modiin Junction.

Seven people were taken to the hospital from the accident scene; a toddler in critical condition, one man and one woman in moderate condition and four others in fair condition.
Yehuda Shukrun who passed the scene in his car told Bechadrey Charedim," It looked like a battle field. They had to cut the vehicles to extricate the wounded. It was terrible. The blood spattered car seat was thrown onto the street. Passing cars stopped to offer assistance and then we davened together for the recovery of the wounded."

Hatzalah volunteer Natan Mierav told Bechadrey Charedim, "I was on my way home from a family simcha in Modiin Illit when I came upon the scene of the accident. I got out to help and found the toddler strapped into his car seat in the middle of the street. He was unconscious, had no pulse and was not breathing. I began resuscitation while calling for backup."
The child was taken to Assaf Harofeh in Tzrifin in critical condition, he and his family members were dressed in Shabbos clothes.
