It seems that many Americans are having a hard time trying to decide whether or not the life a little boy is more valuable than that of a gorilla. Four days after Harambe, a 17 year old gorilla was shot by the Cincinnati Zoo's special response team in order to save the life of the little boy the gorilla was dragging and throwing the story is still making headlines around the world.

According to a BBC article the boy's' mother, Michelle Gregg has become a hot target of online outrage as animal lovers created a Justice for Harambe Facebook group and an online petition signed by over 300,000 people calling on Gregg to be held accountable for Harambe's death.

The following tweet by@blxxm83 is one of the more benign accusations being directed at Gregg; "So lazy parents can't control their wild kids and a beautiful endangered animal gets shot and killed because of it? #Harambe #RIPHarambe"

A Facebook post, purportedly written by Michelle Gregg, thanked "the right people" for being "in the right place" and said "accidents happen"

Michelle Gregg's Facebook page has since been deleted, after many accused her of being a bad mother. Another woman with the same name has also come under attack. She said in her post,
"There is some pretty foul language in these emails... but here are some I've received today. I have also received tons of emails of people apologizing for what others have said to me."

The Justice for Harambe page has received over 100,000 posts- and in contrast a Facebook group in support of Michelle Gregg has attracted just over 300 likes.

Below are some of the posts in support of Micheled Gregg :

"#ISupportMichelleGregg As to the people writing disgusting things I hope you guys have a good night knowing all of you are hypocrites. Don't scream for justice and then turn around and wish death on a child."

Emily Rose Clifford wrote on Facebook: "I don't normally even voice my opinion on these types of things but I just feel so sorry for this mother. I know as a mother that things and accidents can happen in the blink of an eye, even if you are a good mum."
