The city of Torah and Chassidus in the Judean Hills is aging: After nearly thirty years since its establishment the city is planning to open its own cemetery.

The well-established cities of Bnei Brak, Beit Shemesh and Yerushalayim have their own cemeteries- but of the newer communities of Modin Illit, Elad and Beitar- Beitar will be the first to establish a cemetery.

According to the statistics about 40 resident of the city have died in the past years- and until now families were forced to procure plots for their loved ones in different cities. A feet that at times has proved both very difficult as well as.
Twenty dunam of the 800 dunam that have been designated for use in the new industrial section will be set aside for use as a cemetery.

According to the city's mayor , Meir Rubenstein:" After years of building classrooms, preschools, shuls, yeshivos, parks and industrial areas and investing in transportation, youth and on and on – the time has come to build a home of eternal rest…"
