Mini Bus Explodes in Bnei Brak on Wednesday Night
Yankela, Bnei Brak's beloved veteran driver was killed in the tragic explosion, chol hamoed. He is remembered as an elderly and friendly man who always waved at passerby and drove the elderly to their place of learning and transported balei chessed enroot to performing acts of kindness.

It's been cleared for release: The driver who was killed in Wednesday night's mini bus explosion was 79 year old Yakov Oran z"l. His body was finally positively identified just before Yom tov and his family was informed that unfortunately Yakov was no longer alive.
Yakov was well known and beloved by all. Early in the morning he would transport bachurim to Yeshiva Ketana. He had a nice word for each bachur and the bachurim loved and respected him.
Yankela was born in Poland to Gerer Chassidim.
A driver from a different bus company told Bchadrei Charedim that Yankela was always careful to greet his fellow Jew, He smiled even when things were difficult for him and accepted everyone as is.
Every day he transported elderly balabatim to learn in the Satmar Kollelim, and each Friday he transported volunteers of Satmar's Chassdei Yoel bikur Cholim to distribute food in the hospitals.
One of his acquaintances told Bchadrey Charedim," I can't digest what happened to him, that such a kind person died such a horrible death. He was fully given over to others, and behaved lifnim m'shuras hadin. "
He left behind 6 children.
The circumstances of this tragedy are being investigated.
