Serious Fire in Bnei Brak
A fire broke out in a residential building in Bnei Brak last night at 11:30. Large numbers of firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene. 4 people were taken to the hospital, and a number of others were treated on site.

Large scale fire broke out last night in a 4 story apartment building in Bnei Brak Rechov Pardo 13.
MDA paramedic Dudu Suissa who oversaw MDA’s services at the scene reports: “We arrived on scene with large forces including a mobile ICU unit, ambulances and ambucycles.
The fire was concentrated in a storage unit on the ground floor of the building. Thick smoke spread throughout the building trapping residents in their apartments. We prepared to receive and treat the wounded while the firefighters rescued those trapped in apartments
.
First an unconscious one year old was rescued; there were signs of ash on his face. Just a few minutes later his unconscious 35 year old mother was brought out. They were both suffering from smoke inhalation. We gave them life saving first aid treatment which included sedation and respiration. They were evacuated to the hospital in serious stable condition. Afterwards we treated and evacuated a 50 year old man, a 15 year old girl, a pregnant woman, and a teenage boy who all were suffering from smoke inhalation. They were listed in light condition

It took one hour for the seven fire trucks from the gush Dan area to get the fire under control. The trucks came from the following fire departments; Bnei Brak, Ramat Gan, Tel Aviv, Givataim and Cholon
.
Moshe Segal, Hatzalah volunteer who was the first on the scene reports: “When I got there were flames in the entrance of the building and thick smoke enveloping the building. A mother, father and baby were rescued from one of the apartments. The mother was in serious condition, the baby and father in light condition. First aid was given to a number of other individuals suffering from smoke inhalation, who were also rescued by firefighters. Large numbers of fire fighters and paramedics were working at the scene

A MDA spokesperson reports: “MDA Gush Dan received a call at 11:13 p.m. about a fire at Rechov Moshe Pardo. MDA EMT’s and paramedics gave first aid and evacuated 4 people to the hospital. ToTel Hashomer: 1 woman in serious condition, a 55 year old man and a one year old toddler. A 15 year old girl was taken to Maayanei Hayeshua.”
