Again: IDF Follows Social Media Sites Looking for Chareidi Teens

A chareidi bachur was called down to the recruitment office because his picture was found on a social media site that wasn’t fitting for someone in full time learning. The IDF are spying on chareidi youth, girls as well in order to uncover their true identities.
Last night a bachur was called down to the recruitment office since his picture was found on a social media site which they claim isn’t in alliance with the declaration he had made earlier in their offices that his full time occupation was Torah learning.
The above story took place after a series of investigations of the IDF into the backgrounds of chareidi youth, which has been widened to include girls who declare that they maintain a religious lifestyle in order to gain an exemption from army service. The IDF is looking to uncover these kinds of misrepresentations in order to recruit those who in actuality maintain a lifestyle that differs from what they have declared.
A chareidi bachur explains his concerns in a conversation with “Behadrey Hareidim” : “This has turned out to be exactly like a yeshiva mashgiach. I open up a Facebook account under a pseudonym, make sure not to be photographed or tagged just to make sure that the army doesn’t catch up with me. It’s impossible.”
In the past complaints have been filled against the IDF for improper tracking of chareidi youth who may indeed be learning in a yeshiva and still have a Facebook account. After yesterday’s story of a bachur being called down to the recruitment office- the storm has once again broken out among chareidi youth who have social media accounts.
