Guard stabbed on Thursday night in critical condition

Continues to be difficult the condition of the guard who was stabbed on Thursday night in the attack Ma'ale Adumim Mall.

The guard (48) is treated in the neurosurgery intensive care unit at Hadassah, and in a very difficult condition. He was taken with a serious head injury, and was operated on Friday and has since been sedated and on a respirator.

After assessment of the situation this evening led by the commander of Judea and Samaria District General Shlomi Michael, it was decided that no Palestinian workers will be allowed until Thursday into Ma'ale Adumim except for essential employees, as well as entry of workers into the industrial zone will remain as usual. In assessing the situation, it was decided to maintain the increased deployment of security forces in the city of Ma'aleh Adumim and its environs.

The attack occurred at a late night hour – on Friday early morning at around 1:15 in Maale Adumim mall, a security guard was found stabbed. Police were called to the scene, MDA teams and Ichud Hatzala drives gave the guard medical treatment. At first, they thought that he had fallen from a height, but when they began to treat him they noticed numerous stab marks on his body.
