With splendor: Two Torah scrolls were placed in memory of the victims of the kosher supermarket in Paris

In a moving and impressive event, , two Torah scrolls in memory of the victims of the terrorist attack in Paris kosher supermarket were introduced to the synagogue of the Jewish community. Last night's event was attended by families of the four victims, Barham, Khattab, Sa'ada, and Cohen.
The event was attended by community rabbis, Rabbi of Paris, Rabbi Michael Guggenheim, Rabbi Daniel Abdelhak rabbi of the Jewish community in the 19th quarter, Rabbi Moshe Buso, Hagaon Rabbi Noam Lusky and Hagaon Rabbi Peretz Barham Rabbi of the Synagogue and brother of Philipe HYD, president of the Consistoire Dr. Joel Mergui, members of the community, dignitaries and public figures.
There was not a dry eye when the Torah scrolls from Israel were placed in the hall. The public stood up and welcomed them with singing and dancing for several minutes.
Community rabbis praised the organization "World Committee on behalf of the poor of the land of Israel", which undertook the initiative to donate the scrolls, for the and acts of charity and kindness they undertake for the sick and needy throughout the year.
"It is a great honor for us that the Jews of the Holy Land came together under the auspices of this holy organization founded by Maran Harav Ovadia Yosef Ztk"l, and give us a living memorial candle on the holiness of our brothers who were killed al Kiddush Hashem. We also pray for the protection and success for them and that they would be safe, " said Chief Rabbi of Paris.
The event took place under a heavy veil of security due to the sensitive security situation prevailing in France and it was evident that the French government is not taking any unnecessary risks. The community building is secured at all times, but for the event it has been beefed up with security and troops were deployed in the area.
During the event a special blessing sent by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was screened, for the Jews of France, which said that he had the privilege to be counted among the writers of the letters in the Torah. "This reflects our love to all of you," he said. The Prime Minister concluded his remarks with the words "Am Israel Chai" and won applause among the audience in the hall.
Among the authors of the letters in the book were also other ministers including Education Minister Naftali Bennett, the finance minister Moshe Kahlon, MK Avigdor Lieberman and Mossad chief Yossi Cohen. The families of the murdered and many members of the community wrote their last letters in the book.
Rabbi Peretz Barham, brother of hakadosh Philip Barham HYD, spoke about the virtue of commemorating the dead through holy things and said: "There is no greater satisfaction for the departed soul than Torah and good deeds, here we have a Torah scroll that is all about kindness and good deeds, the 'Va'ad Ha'olami' is an organization full of good works and this act is to bring even greater unity".
Hodaya Khattab, hakadosh Yoav's sister said: "When I see the Torah scrolls placed, I know my brother has bliss in heaven." At the end of the event she also wrote an emotional letter to the Vaad Haolami organization in which she admitted the initiative and contribution.
The event was concluded by Rabbi Moshe Buso, grandson of the Baba Sali Sidna ztk"l, with receiving ol malchus shamayim, and there was great excitement. Just after midnight the Torah scrolls were accompanied by singing and dancing to the synagogue.
Even the wintry weather and rain did not stop the enthusiasm, and already this Shabbat they will read in the Torah that most of its letters were contributed by the inhabitants of Israel and the Jews of France completed in memory of the souls of the kedoshim.
