Terrorist charges and sprayed with bullets

A video was shot during a stabbing attack on Friday, at the Damascus Gate. The video shows the terrorist trying to stab a border policeman in the back, shot and falling flat on the ground.

The terrorist Mohammed Abu Khalaf (20), reached the Damascus Gate, went through the gate, walked back with a knife, ran towards policemen and attacked them. The terrorist managed to stab a fighter in the head and wound him lightly to moderately, while another policeman struggling with him was injured lightly.
Other police officers who were at the scene, as seen in the video documentation, fired a volley at the terrorist while he tried to keep stabbing, and to prevent further harm to the security personnel and civilians.
A 50-year-old Palestinian woman was injured by shrapnel from the shooting at the terrorist and received medical treatment on the scene. She was taken to a hospital in East Jerusalem.
Jerusalem District Police Commander, Major General Yoram Halevy, praised the fighters who stopped the terrorist. "The professionalism of the policemen and fighters brought to the immediate neutralization of the threat and prevented loss of life," Halevy said , "The police deployed in the area have shown and proved on every occasion their professionalism, determination and dedication on their mission to save lives, showing great courage and bravery."
