Israeli fire: Israel attacked tonight (Thursday) a terrorist target in southern Damascus. This was reported by the Syrian Organization for Human Rights.
IDF reportedly fired three rockets at ammunition depots in the Syrian capital. Reuters reported that Israel attacked military bases in Syria and ammunition depots near Tel Mana. It was also reported that after the shelling secondary explosions were heard.
According to the Syrian newspaper "Suriat", the missiles were aimed at weapons warehouses of the government in Damascus and of Hezbollah, and strong detonations were heard and a series of secondary explosions.
Another newspaper reported that the previous day sorties of Israeli warplanes were reported in the same area without any action taken.
However Syrian military officials denied the attack attributed to Israel.
As recalled, Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah threatened Israel in a speech marking the anniversary of elimination of organization leaders, Imad Mughniyeh and Abbas Musawi.
Nasrallah threatened: "Haifa has containers of 15 tons of ammonia, as Hezbollah missile attack will turn it into a nuclear bomb causing tens of thousands of people killed."
He went on to say: "Israel is afraid that in the next confrontation with Hezbollah, we will bomb the gas facilities in Haifa. Israel has not launched a war it did not win for sure that it would win, for several rockets from Lebanon to Haifa and then 800 thousand people are killed. There are even Israeli experts who say an attack on the missile reservoir of ammonia will be like a nuclear bomb".
