Terrorist - armed Palestinian policeman

Amjad Abu Omar who injured three soldiers in the attack this morning announced his intention through a Status posted on Facebook

Terrorist - armed Palestinian policeman

The terrorist who carried out the attack this morning (Sunday) at a roadblock near Beit El, is Amjad Abu Omar (34) from the village of Jama'in, who worked as a PA services person, and served part of his job as a personal security guard of the attorney general of the PA in Ramallah.
And if you wondered with what weapon he carried out the shooting that wounded three soldiers - it is the gun he had received from the Palestinian Authority.
Before he carried out the attack in which three Israelis were injured (seriously wounded, 31, in moderate to severe condition and 20 year old in slight condition) Abu Omad wrote on his Facebook page this morning his intention to carry out an attack. "Good morning, I will be a martyr and join Allah and his Messenger Muhammad. It is the morning of victory", he declared shortly before leaving to perpetrate the attack.
"I do not see anything worth living for as long as the occupation strangles our breath," he wrote on Facebook this morning, "on this earth there is something worth living for. But unfortunately I do not see anything worth living for as long as the occupation is choking our breaths and killing our brothers and sisters, G-d have mercy on our martyrs and grant recovery to our wounded".

The Beit El Council said that it takes a serious view of the fact that the perpetrator today is one of the Palestinian security forces. "A few months ago a terrorist took advantage of the opening of the Beitin Road for firing on an ambulance leaving the settlement. He hit it and miraculously no one was injured. Now 100 meters away, at the Focus checkpoint which is intended for passage of the VIP of the Palestinian Authority, a terrorist arrived who shot and hit three people in varying degrees of injury. We stand with the army in its war against terrorism and urge the army to close the road of Beitin and prevent the passage of Palestinians at the checkpoint. This is our only exit to and from Beit El and the lives of our residents precede the quality of life of Palestinians. We demand the political leadership to fight incitement in the Palestinian media, to reduce the motivation for the attacks. We wish a speedy and complete recovery to the injured."
