A great miracle happened to a group of Hasidim who went to visit the grave of the holy Rebbe Moshe of Kitov zi"a, a talmid of the Baal Shem Tov buried in Ukraine.
Hasidim went on a local bus, and because of ice on the road as a result of the heavy cold – the bus, with the Hasidim returning from the tomb, lost its brakes downhill and could not stop. One of the Hasidim who were on the bus told Behadrey Haredim: "We saw the end of the decline which was a deep abyss, we cried and shouted and said: 'Shema Yisrael".
But then came the rescue. "Suddenly," says the Hassid, "The bus stopped due to a large piece of iron that was on the road, which stopped the bus by great miracles".
The excited Hassid reconstructed the moments of rescue - "We saw the great miracle that was in front of us, we had a moment before death, this Shabbos we will all bentch 'Hagomel' at the reading of the Torah".
Behadrey Haredim learned that this is a group of Hassidim, mostly Hasidei Viznitz, who went to visit the grave of Rabbi Moshe of Kitov on occasion of his yahzrteit.
Rabbi Moshe of Kitov died on the Seventeenth Shvat 5498 and is one of the hidden tzaddikim whose entire work and Torah were done without it becoming widely known. When he discovered the sanctity of the Baal Shem Tov – he became his disciple.
