African massacre: At least 27 killed on Friday night
Terror campaign of Islamist militants in Burkina Faso, ended with dozens dead and rescuing of more than a hundred hostages

At least 27 people from 18 different countries were killed in an attack by armed Islamists in the capital of Burkina Faso - Ouagadougou.
The attack occurred on Friday night in the hotel "Splendid" in Ouagadougou, capital of Burkina Faso in western Africa. The terrorists launched a combined attack of shooting and car bombs in a restaurant, where they killed ten people, and carried on into the "Splendid" hotel nearby, where hundreds of hostages were taken.
For long hours an exchange of fire took place between terrorists and security forces until the end of the rescue campaign. Some of the hostages were shot and 126 people were released. Four terrorists were killed, and approximately 33 of the hostages were injured.
