Terrorist was killed, questions left open

The assassination of the terrorist Nasat Malhem, although reassuring to the residents of Tel Aviv and Israel, left many questions which remain open. Today (Saturday), Israeli police arrested five members of his family, maybe they and those being arrested later will know the answers.
It is estimated that already on the previous Friday, hours after carrying out the attack on Dizengoff Street in Tel Aviv, the terrorist fled to Arara.
Over the last week, when police forces conducted extensive searches in north Tel Aviv, and moved from house to house, trying to find the terrorist, police chief Alshich already hinted on Tuesday that the terrorist is no longer in the Dan region.
On Friday morning information was received that Malhem is present in Daharat suburb in Arara, consequently SWAT fighters were sent to the scene, as well as the Shin Bet and police forces, and by 11:00 started hermetically sealing the neighborhood.
Residents were ordered not to leave their homes and others were evacuated. Half an hour later, troops began to surround the apartment where Malhem hid, but he managed to escape and changed hiding places. All the while, the residents were not in the street, and every movement was examined.
At 14:00 pm special forces had been deployed around the house where the terrorist stayed, with snipers on rooftops, waiting for movement on the part of Malhem. At 14:20, the terrorist came out of his hiding place, fired at security forces - and in turn gets four bullets, one of which hit his head and killed him. Only at 17:12, after Shabbos had come, an official statement was issued that the terrorist was killed.
He had barricaded himself in the apartment which belongs to his aunt who is hospitalized. The terrorist and his parents had lived in the same neighborhood until two years ago, then left and went to settle in Ara.
During those hours, security forces arrested five people suspected of helping the terrorist in hiding, and had made sure to buy him food and water. In the apartment where he had hid minutes before he was killed, were bottled drinks, cigarettes, sugar, cooking utensils and cutlery, and much more. Police believe that the terrorist had arrived in Arara assisted by one of the residents, where he even received assistance from the locals, who arranged a hiding place and food for him.
During the last three days of searches, they were focused on the Wadi Ara area, where the terrorist's DNA sample was find and confirmed that he was in the area. One should note that in the area of the apartment from which he escaped minutes before he was killed, security forces had already searched during the week.
