Haredim were arrested with drugs on the way from Uman

Entanglement in Ukraine: a haredi man and woman were arrested earlier this week, at the airport in Ukraine on suspicion of drug courier.
A man and woman living in the center of Israel, embarked on a tour of tombs in Ukraine and Poland.
Upon their arrest, they contacted Attorney Mordechai Tzivin who handles the case.
"The judge today decided to extend their detention by 60 days," says Tzivin, "but would be willing to release them in exchange for a guarantee of 52 thousand dollars," Tzivin told Behadrey Haredim.
They claim the drugs do not belong to them and it is possible they were smuggled into their suitcase by the driver who drove them to the airport in Uman, at the end of the journey, at the grave of Rabbi Nachman in Uman.
Tzivin, who handled similar cases, contacted Hachid"a Weiss, "I asked him to go into the matter and lead it." He said the man and woman have a number of children, aged one to 15 years old, awaiting them in Israel.
"They took advantage of their innocence and used them as couriers," says attorney Tzivin representing the arrested man, "this is a new version of the Japan affair".
