Due to Rabbi of the Knesset and MK Moshe Gafni - uncooked wine did not enter the Knesset.
The story begins when the Land of Israel Lobby held at noon (Monday) a special conference on the occasion of the initiative to publish an Israeli Wine Guide - which will also include the wineries' wines in Judea and Samaria.
Channel 7 reported that the initiators of the conference sought to bring wines from the wineries in the West Bank, but came across the Knesset's Rabbi opposition and the intervention of MK Moshe Gafni, who claimed that one should not bring wines into the Knesset which are not under the supervision of the Jerusalem Rabbinate.
According to the report, the conference organizers sought a certificate of kashrut from the Rabbi of Jerusalem, Rabbi Aryeh Stern, but according to the organizers it did not satisfy the rabbi of the Knesset, who demanded that only cooked wines will be brought into the Knesset, which if opened by non-observant Jews does not make them into yain nesech.
Following the requirements of rabbi of the Knesset, only wines of two wineries defined as "boiled wines" were brought to the conference.
The office of MK Moshe Gafni told Channel 7 that Gafni "intervened and demanded to obey the provisions of the Rabbi of the Knesset who prohibited from consuming non-cooked wine".
The Knesset Speaker responded: "All wines which were brought were approved by the Knesset Rabbi and brought in."
