Morning of knives: stabbing attempts in West Bank

An attempted attack near the Einav 197 checkpoint - an elderly Arab woman approached the checkpoint and took out a knife while trying to stab a soldier. A military force shot at her and she was killed.

Almost concurrently, a young Arab woman was arrested holding a knife. The Arab woman, wearing a white keffiyeh, walked about vehicles at the intersection of northern Efrat. Her actions were inexplicable. A military force came to the point and made an inspection on her, during which it found a large knife in her bag. She was taken in for questioning.

In addition, the terrorist who was shot and killed in the Gush Etzion junction this morning after he tried to stab Jews, is Mahmoud al-Khatib from Beit Fajar, near Bethlehem. As recalled, a passing driver from Kfar Etzion was lightly wounded by shrapnel in his hand.
