"Glory in place of ashes" - Thousands of people are taking part tonight (Thursday) in the joy of the wedding at the Jerusalem Convention Center, of Sarah Techiya Litman daughter of Rabbi Yaakov Litman HYD, who was murdered two weeks ago next to Othniel with his son Netanel HYD, on their way to the groom's family, Ariel Beigel, for Shabbat Chatan.

As first reported in Behadrey Haredim, the couple decided to invite the people of Israel to celebrate and rejoice with them, and try to recover from the terrible mourning. In an announcement, the family said: "As of 22:30 another hall will be opened for benefit of the general public which was invited to cheer the bride and groom."

Mesader Kiddushin was Rabbi Yaakov Shapiro Rosh Yeshivat Merkaz Harav, Rabbi Druckman and Rabbi Dov Lior were mechubad with brochos, and with the last brocha – the Chief Rabbi Hagaon Rabbi David Lau.

Immediately after the chupah, participants sang "Im eshkachech Yerushalayim" and the groom broke the glass and began to cry. After the ceremony the rabbis said words of encouragement to the family.

Chief Rabbi Hagaon Rabbi David Lau said immediately after the wedding: "When I heard during the wedding the song "Ahavat olam tavi lahem ubrit avot labanim tizkor", I thought to myself at our request from the Almighty to give this couple 'everlasting love' and that He should remember the covenant with the forefathers, and in our case a covenant which reminds us of blood, pain and sorrow and despite all, see what strengths there are in the people of Israel who get up in pain, get up from the hardship, dance and smile and say, you will not succeed, and even though you tried to interrupt, we are establishing a home in Israel, and with God's help we hope to hear soon the sound of joy and gladness and the sound of the herald of Mashiach".
