Mother of Kamenitz Yeshiva: Rebbetzin Lichtenstein AH

Baruch Dayan Ha'emes – in Jerusalem, Rebbetzin Sarah Rivka Lichtentein ah, the widow of Hagaon Rabbi Ahser zt"l, Rosh Yeshiva of Kamenitz – passed awayi at the age of 90. A few days ago was taken to Shaarei Tzedek Hospital, where her soul returned to its Creator.
The deceased was born in Lithuania on 15th Tevet 5786 to her father Rabbi Moshe Bernstein, of blessed memory, the founder of the Kamenitz Yeshiva in Jerusalem and son-in-law of Hagaon R' Boruch Dov Leibowitz zt"l, the Birkas Shmuel.
At the age of 15, she immigrated to Eretz Yisroel with her parents, and here she married Hagaon Rabbi Asher Lichtenstein zt"l, Rosh Yeshiva of Kamenitz. The Rebbetzin was "the mother of the yeshiva". Throughout her life she supported her husband in his teaching Torah at the yeshiva, as well as taking care of the yeshiva students for all their needs, foreign students were frequent guests in her home.
She is survived by a dor yeshorim- sons and sons-in-law and dozens of descendants who continue her way, led by her sons Hagaon Rabbi Baruch Dov, Rosh Yeshiva of Kamenitz and man of chessed Rabbi Avraham Yeshayahu of Brachfeld neighborhood of Modi'in Illit, Rabbi Eliezer Arye, and Rabbi Moshe.
The funeral left this afternoon from the Kamenitz Yeshiva on David Street to the Mount of Rest, where was buried next to her husband, of blessed memory.
May her soul be bound in the bond of life.
