The wave of attacks of radical youngsters on parliamentarians of United Torah Judaism, as a result of their support for the amendment to the conscription law, continues.
Tonight (Wednesday) Deputy Minister of Education, MK Meir Porush who led to the amendment, participated in a simcha held in Friedman Halls in Bnei Brak, where he was attacked by several youths associated with the Jerusalem faction opposed to the amendment of the draft.
An eyewitness, media personality Tziki Frank says to Behadrey Haredim that "the Deputy Minister Porush came to attend the wedding and young people from the Jerusalem faction recognized him, they invited friends and after a few minutes tens gathered at the place. When Porush began to dance with the groom youths broke into the hall and began yelling at him, Porush who did not want to disrupt the wedding decided to leave the hall, while his family stayed at the wedding. "
According to Frank, "as he left the wedding the young men from the faction stood at the exit and began to shout and curse Porush, they said "you and your Rebbes are criminals", Porush advanced to his vehicle and then discovered attackers who were waiting with stones in their hands, police and undercover agents escorted Porush and guarded over him."
Israel Wertheimer, the driver of the Deputy Minister Porush, immediately called the police hotline 100, and within four minutes large police forces arrived and dispersed the crowd. Dan District Commander, Commander Shimon Lavie, ordered his subordinates to accompany Porush's car beyond the city limits.
It should be noted that last week, demonstrations were held under the homes of members of United Torah Judaism Knesset by haredi extremists who oppose the amendment of the draft law.
