Tragedy: killed 12 years after his uncle

The young man who was killed in a deadly attack near the Dor Alon gas station on Route 443 - near Beit Horon, is an Israeli soldier, Corporal Ziv Mizrahi HYD, 18, from Givat Zeev. The funeral will take place tomorrow (Tuesday) at 13:00 on Mount Herzl.

Mizrahi was murdered 11 years after his uncle, Moshe Alon HYD, was killed in Cafe Hillel in Jerusalem.

Corporal Ziv Mizrahi HYD who served in "Nitzan" battalion of the Field Intelligence Corps, was promoted to corporal rank after his death.

The attack occurred shortly after 15:00, terrorist Ahmed Jamal Ahmad Taha arrived at the gas station with a knife and stabbed the soldier in the upper body. The soldier was seriously wounded. The terrorist further stabbed an IDF officer who was slightly injured in his hand.

The terrorist, resident of a small village near Har Adar, was shot dead by security forces and was pronounced dead immediately.

MDA teams and Ichud Hatzalah together with the Israel Defense Forces performed CPR on the soldier, but after some time he was pronounced dead. In addition, during the shooting by security forces, a woman of 50 passing with her vehicle near the gas station was slightly wounded.

At that location, there was a terrorist attack six weeks ago on 09/08/2015, in which the terrorist Anas Taha, 20 years old, from the Ketana village too, stabbed Yehuda Ben Moyal (26), injuring him moderately. The terrorist, who was once jailed for throwing stones in Har Adar - was shot and killed.
Another terrorist was shot dead in the afternoon, at around 14:50, at the intersection of Samaria District brigade, after having been observed waving a knife at Jews. There were no other casualties.

Earlier, at approximately 12:00, a car hit an 18-year-old yeshiva student near Homesh, apparently in an attempt to override. The student was there with his friends from Yeshivat Homesh, and he was taken when lightly injured to hospital. IDF forces combed the area to locate the offending vehicle.

Even before that, at 11:10, two terrorists Hadil Wajih Awad (16) and her cousin Nourhan Awad (14) from Al-matar suburb near the Qalandiya refugee camp, arrived in Jaffa Street in Jerusalem equipped with scissors. Near the Ministry of Health they attacked Yosef Elharov, 70-year-old resident of Bethlehem, stabbed him in the head and back, wounding him moderately. A security guard who came towards them was slightly injured too.

The terrorists' route, indecision and fear to attack

Police and security guards shot at them, Hadil Wajih, 16, was killed instantly, while her cousin Nourhan, 14, was critically wounded and was evacuated to the Shaare Zedek Hospital.

Following a sequence of attacks, as decided by the IDF, tomorrow Tuesday entry of Palestinian workers in Israeli settlements in Gush Etzion will not be allowed.
