First time: Tisch at Agudah convention

The Rebbe of Sadigura flew out today (Wednesday) for a two-week journey to the US, at the center of the journey – days of the World Conference, the convention of Agudath Israel in the United States.

The Rebbe was commissioned last summer by the heads of the delegation of Agudath Israel in the United States, chaired by Rabbi Chaim David Tzwibel who will serve as keynote speaker at the conference.

The conference convenes with the cream and crop of all the faithful Jewish dignitaries from around the world led by rabbis. Each year during the conference a special theme in Jewish life everywhere is discussed, while this year the theme is "the power of leadership".

The Rebbe of Sadigura will carry the speech on Shabbos and present his outlook. It should be noted that this is the first time that a Tisch will be held in the conference for all intents and purposes, which was not the case until now in this conference. In the past the practice was to hold only 'oneg Shabbos' parties, etc., while this Shabbos the Rebbe of Sadagura will hold a Tisch for participants.

It should be noted that the head of the Council of Torah Sages of Agudath Israel, the Rebbe of Novominsk, will not participate this year at the convention, due to the simcha of the marriage of his grandson in Israel tomorrow. In addition, the chairman of the Chinuch Atzmai, Rabbi Avraham Yosef Leizerzon, was forced to be absent, due to the provision of his personal physician.
