Joy in the Sephardic top Torah world: Today (Monday), a Bris Milah was held in Jerusalem, for the first joint great-grandson of Harav Ovadia Yosef zt"l, and yibadel lechayim, Hagaon R' Shalom Cohen.
This is the grandson of Harav Ovadia Yosef''s son in law, Hagaon Rabbi Mordechai Toledano, Av Beis Din of Jerusalem.
The Bris which took place at around noon, was attended by rabbis and public figures with Hagaon R' Shalom Cohen serving as Sandak. The Mohel was Hagaon Rabbi Levi Pinhassi, Rosh Yeshiva of Ohr Avraham.
During the Bris, Hagaon Rabbi Moshe Toledano pointed out the special joy of this Bris Milah and said this is an enormous joy since it is the first great grandchild common to both presidents of the Council of Sages: "Those who hold the world with their Torah and leadership. And our blessing is that this baby will grow and go on in the path of his holy forefathers."
