Why was the Ba'adani family missing from the Memorial Ceremony?

Adjacent to the light rail station next to Shimon Hatzadik and Ammunition Hill, an unveiling ceremony of a monument erected in memory of Shalom Aharon Baadani HYD and the Druze Superintendent Jeran Assad who was killed exactly one year ago.

The ceremony was attended by family members of the Druze officer while the family of Aharon Baadani, grandson of member of the Council of Torah Sages were absent from the ceremony, which was attended by Mayor Nir Barkat, Israeli police and neighborhood residents.

Baadani was identified on Wednesday at noon after being evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital in very serious condition when he was wounded in the run-over attack that occurred in Jerusalem.

As recalled, in the attack Shalom Aharon Baadani, 17, was defined anonymous for many hours, since no identifying details were found on his body. Finally, family members identified him and arrived at the intensive care unit. Jad'an Assad, a 38-year-old Police Officer from Beit Jan, was also killed in the attack.
