Yosef's Tomb: Controversy over door • Watch

Two days after the renovation - the Palestinian Authority removed the iron gate installed at the entrance to Yosef's Tomb in Shchem.

Nablus governor ordered to remove the door which was installed, because he says it is against the agreements with the Palestinian Authority who are in charge of the place.

Photos released on Arab social networks, documented the sawing and removal of the iron gate at the entrance to the tomb, which could lead to its desecration again.

Yossi Dagan, the head of the Samaria Regional Council, expressed his pain that so soon after the renovations made at the place, the Palestinian Authority arrived and removed the entrance gate to the tomb.

Dagan spoke this evening with senior officers on the issue and strongly protested the heinous act. "Not only did the PA allow the burning and destruction of Yosef's Tomb, now it has the audacity to add insult to injury, to arrive two days after intensive repair works were made there and destroy the place again.
There is no limit to the barbarism of the Palestinian Authority. And, as always, the State of Israel does not condemn and continues to pander to its enemies."
