Tragedy in New York: a bus driver of Monroe Bus co., Matisyahu Glick of blessed memory, was found dead tonight in the bus he was driving.

Last night (Monday), while waiting for the end of a wedding in Monsey, in order to take passengers to their destination, Matisyahu parked the bus in the parking lot near a restaurant which operates twenty-four hours. Matisyahu called his friend and told him he was going to sleep and asked him, "call me and wake me at 3:00 AM ".

The friend tried several times to wake him up from sleep by dialing Matisyahu's mobile phone, but after he failed to respond he called rescue forces, they found Matisyahu dead.

Apparently the death was caused as a result of the leak of poisonous gas fumes into the bus from the exhaust pipe, which as said, was turned on for a few hours.

Matisyahu Glick z"l, 34, the son of cantor Nathan Glick, worked at the buses' company Monroe Bus and was traveling the Monroe – Monsey line.

His funeral took place today at the Shomrei Hadas funeral home in Boro Park, Brooklyn.

May his soul be bound in the bond of life.
