Syrian media reported yesterday (Sunday) about an Israeli attack on Syria.
According to the report, the Israeli air force attacked a convoy bringing weapons into the area of the city El-Katifa in the Kalmon Mountains on the Lebanon-Syria border.
According to another report, arsenals which apparently housed Scud missiles were attacked. The warehouses which were bombed, reportedly belonged to the 155th Brigade of the Syrian army.
Last Friday, the same sources reported an Israeli attack in the area. Defense Minister Moshe (Bogie) Ya'alon addressed the issue in an interview on Meet the Press, and said, "We do not interfere in the internal affairs of Syria, and the bloody civil war being waged there. On the other hand we have interests. We maintain the red lines such as violation of our sovereignty in the Golan Heights and transferring advanced weapons and chemical weapons to terrorist organizations such as Hezbollah."
News of the attack was not given any official reference by Israel.
