Another casualty of Armon Hantziv - Richard Leikin HYD

Richard Leikin, 76-year-old, who was shot in the head and stabbed in the chest in the attack in the neighborhood of Armon Hanatziv, died this morning (Tuesday) at the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem, after operations to keep him alive failed.

Two weeks after the shooting and stabbing in the neighborhood of Armon Hanatziv in Jerusalem, Richard Leikin HYD, 76, an Israel with American citizenship, passed away.

During the attack, Leikin was shot in the head and stabbed in the chest. With fatally wounds he was rushed into surgery at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital and his condition stabilized, he was treated for a long time in the ICU and underwent surgery several times. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, he died.

Leikin is the third murder victim in the deadly attack two weeks ago, in which Haviv Chaim and Alon Andrei Govberg were killed.

As recalled, on Tuesday morning 30 Tishrei, October 13, two terrorist operatives from Jabal Mukaber went onto line #78, an Egged bus in Jerusalem, armed with a pistol and knife. They started to shoot and stab passengers. The bus driver stopped the bus and opened the doors to allow passengers to escape, one of the terrorists ran to the position of the driver, locked the doors of the bus and continued to harm the passengers.

A patrol car from Oz station of the Kedem District came to the scene and together with Border Police identified the terrorists inside the bus and opened fire at them. One of them was killed and the other seriously injured.
