Letter of Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah in US: "Zedim arurim nasu rosh"

Praying all over the world: the US Council of Torah Sages calls on the Haredi public everywhere in the world to hold a prayer tomorrow (Thursday) and read chapters of Tehillim after prayers in light of the current difficult situation in Eretz Yisroel.

Yesterday the Council of Torah Sages of Agudath Israel called to hold a prayer of children in Talmud Torahs in Chassidic schools.

A letter published by the Moetzes in the United States said: "It is a time of trouble for Yaakov. Jewish blood flows like water and the cursed wicked have raised their heads in the palace of the King, "saying about G-d's nation let us eradicate them", may it not be. Our eyes are lifted up to heaven, and we look to our Heavenly Father with a torn and broken heart, do not be silent and do not find peace, Hashem.

"Indeed our obligation is to return to Him truly and wholeheartedly and to do repentance, prayer and charity which remove the decree. We call upon our brethren the children of Israel to gather tomorrow, Thursday, the 2nd of Marcheshvan, each public in its own shull, and to increase prayer, and every day to add chapters of Tehillim and supplications after Shachris and Mincha. And each person will do his soul searching in matters of Yiras Shomayim and rectify his actions and middos, a heart knows what it has to rectify.

"And yeshiva boys and avrechim will strengthen their learning and will increase strength and desire in their studies, and the word of Hashem will enlighten our eyes and rejoice our hearts. And may it be Hashem's will that the possuk "veyivtechu becha yodei shemecha ki lo azavta dorsheicha Hashem" be fulfilled in us. And Hashem will take us out of trouble to wellbeing and from darkness to light and from slavery to freedom soon and in our times".
