Wounded released from Shaare Zedek: "Hashem saved my life"

Miracle: the casualty of the attack near the central bus station in Jerusalem yesterday evening (Wednesday) was released from hospital.

Rivka Shushan (72), a resident of Bnei Brak's suburb of Ramat Elchanan, was evacuated after the attack to the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, with a stab wound in the lower back. But miraculously, the wound did not harm her seriously. "The hospital staff sewed her stab wound and after she recuperated at around midnight, the doctor released her from the hospital," says Moti Fried, Sa'ad Umarpe organization's chairman.

The wounded was taken to her home in Bnei Brak in Fried's car, thanking all along happily, "Hashem saved my life."

The attack occurred at around 18:30: terrorist Ahmed Sha'aben (23), resident of Ras al-Amud, who was released just two months ago from prison after serving three years in prison in the wake of nationalistic terror activity, stabbed and wounded Mrs. Shushan moderately to severely. She ran to the bus door which was at the place, and the bus driver by his resourcefulness enabled her to go onto the bus, locked the doors and prevented the terrorist from entering.

The terrorist escaped while civilians began to shout 'terrorist', a Jerusalem riot policeman who was at a short distance from the scene noticed the terrorist holding a knife, fired accurately at him and killed him.

Earlier, her son Rabbi Avraham Shushan, Rabbi of 'Heichal Hakodesh' community of Breslev in Bnei Brak, told Bhadrey Haredim from the hospital: "My mother lost a lot a lot of blood, she told me that the terrorist came running with a knife. Miraculously, he was not able to insert the knife deeply."
"We've seen great miracles," Mrs. Shushan said.
