Encounter of cities: Rabbis of Jerusalem and Barcelona met

Rabbi of Jerusalem, Hagaon Rabbi Aryeh Stern, hosted Barcelona's Rabbi Meir Bar-Hen in a special meeting, during which the two engaged in strengthening the relationship between the Jewish community to the state of Israel.

The two agreed on cooperation between Barcelona and Jerusalem to strengthen the Jewish character and the relationship between cities and Rabbi Bar Chen invited Rabbi Stern to visit the Jewish community in Spain.

Barcelona's Rabbi related about the increase in Spain's Jewish community and members of the community who thirst for contact with the State of Israel. "There is an awakening of the Jewish public, and I am working as much as possible in order to bring them closer to our Father in Heaven. We also work to connect them to Israel to strengthen their ties to Judaism," he said.

Rabbi Stern admired the work of Rabbi Bar-Chen and praised him for his work for the Jewish community. "The most important thing is to embrace the people of Israel and draw them near with pleasant words. Thank G-d we see even now in Elul, the strengthening of the Israeli public at large and how non-religious public is streaming in droves to the Western Wall and prayers of Selichot".

Barcelona's rabbi invited Rabbi Stern to visit the Jewish community and to celebrate the 100th year of the renewed community and Rabbi Stern said that effort will be made to reach and assist in building the relationship with Israel and the Jewish community.
