Great-grandson of the Rebbe of Tahash ztk"l, Elimelech Levy, was arrested tonight (Wednesday) at the border control of Ben-Gurion airport. Attempts to release him were in vain and he faces a lengthy prison term.

A 19 year old yeshiva bochur, the great-grandson of the Rebbe of Tahash zt"l, who got engaged some time ago, was arrested on his way to stay with his family in Williamsburg, New York, on the occasion of the holidays. His father Harav Hatzaddik R' Yechezkel Levi serves as a community rabbi of Williamsburg.

At the checking at border control, it turned out he did not report as required to the recruitment office and he was arrested. The family continued on to Canada and he was transferred to the military police.

MK Meir Porush and Moshe Gafni of United Torah Judaism are working to release the young man and allow him to go to Canada to stay with his family. But according to recent reports, these attempts were unsuccessful.
