In response to fire from Gaza: IDF attacked terrorist site • Watch

Trigger-happy? Seven hours after light arms were fired at Netiv Ha'asara, aircraft of the Israeli Air Force attacked a short while ago a military complex in northern Gaza controlled by Hamas, from which the shots were fired.

Yesterday (Wednesday) at around 19:00, shots were fired from the Gaza Strip with small arms, at homes in Netiv Ha'asara settlement. Two houses were damaged, residents were asked to stay away from the windows facing the strip.

IDF officials said that they see "the Hamas terrorist organization as solely responsible for what is happening in the Gaza Strip and to maintain peace in the region ".

Head of the Ashkelon Coast Regional Council, Yair Farjun, said yesterday in response to the shooting: "We can no longer put up with a real threat to our lives. I demand that the government take immediate steps to eradicate any threat to the lives of Israeli citizens. No more patience and routine emergencies."
