"I was warned not to use the trains," revealed the Rabbi of the Netherlands, Rabbi Benjamin Jacobs.

The Rabbi gave a speech at a conference near the city of Arnhem in Eastern Holland and said that he was warned not to use international trains for fear of his life.

"The events show that the threat is not just against Jews, but against the whole of Europe. We are all in the same boat," said Rabbi Jacobs.

He added that the wave of anti-Semitic violence that began at the beginning of the new millennium in Europe "provides a dilemma for those who build bridges like me, for now all kinds of elements are sprouting which do not want to serve as a bridge". In addition, he said that the growing anti-Semitism causes him to question "whether he should advise members of the community to stay or leave."

The Jacobs family home was vandalized five times in recent years, and it is under police guard. In this context, he said that if not for his responsibility towards the Jewish communities in the Netherlands, he would move to Israel.
