On the occasion of the visit of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Italy, on Friday night at 19:30 a post went onto the Facebook page "Israeli Prime Minister", with a picture of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and his wife, Mrs. Sara Netanyahu in a meeting with leaders of the Jewish communities of Italy.

In addition, the government press office spokesperson which publishes photographs and messages from events attended by the Prime Minister, sent an email about the issue at 20:43 on Friday night.

As recalled, Prime Minister Netanyahu left last Thursday to visit Italy, where he met with Jewish community leaders and the Italian Prime Minister.

Prime Minister's Office said in response to Behadrey Haredim: "There was no desecration of Shabbat because those who published the post were in Italy, where Shabbat had not yet come in at the time."
