Live: TV journalists shot during interview
A reporter and photographer were shot and killed during a television interview aired live; interviewee injured • hunt for the killer

During a press report on the subject of tourism in Virginia, USA, news reporter Alison Parker (24) and television cameraman Adam Ward (27), of a local news station WDBJ7, a sub-station of CBS network - were shot dead.
Vicki Gardner, a local business woman, who was interviewed, also was shot and wounded in the back. She was taken to the hospital.
The murder occurred near a local mall, and, according to local police they have the killer's photo, which was recorded by the TV camera. Large police forces started a widespread hunt for the gunman who fled the scene.
On the live broadcast one can hear the gunshots and the screams of the injured, while the camera falls. Broadcasting from the area was immediately discontinued, while the presenter appeared shocked by the situation.
"When the shooting began we heard screams and then silence," the television station manager Jeff Marx related. "We still do not know who shot and why".
