Despite protests from the left wing anti-Israel factors, Jewish singer Matisyahu performed at the festival held in Spain, when his appearance was accompanied by catcalls, PLO flags and applause from fans.

Jewish reggae singer Matisyahu (Matthew Miller) performed yesterday (Saturday night) at a Reggae Festival held in Spain, with a song composed by the words, "If I forget thee O Jerusalem."

Event organizers who canceled Matisyahu's performance last weekend, due to pressure from pro-Palestinian organizations, were forced to retract their decision after the Spanish government condemned the move, and Matisyahu was re-invited to perform at the festival.
Reuters reported that when Matisyahu went on stage, he was greeted with "Quit Quit" calls and by waving Palestinian flags, while receiving thunderous applause from supporters. Matisyahu did not panic, he declared that "Music has been victorious", and called on everyone to raise flags in honor of the victory of music. Later, he began with a song composed to the words," Im eshkachech Yerushalayim" and for 45 minutes thrilled the audience with songs with Jewish content, after which he received applause from the big crowd that filled the place.
