Sources close to Zeibert fire back: "We demanded that Degel detail on elections but did not receive"

Wage withholding storm in United Torah Judaism: Zeibert's associates respond to allegations of Degel HaTorah last night (Tuesday) in Behadrey Haredim, and lay the blame on Degel HaTorah and treasurer Moshe Schiffman.

Since the big scandal was revealed six weeks ago in Behadrey Haredim about the delay of wages of hundreds of activists around the country, more and more heads of headquarters and activists whose salary has not yet been paid, are reporting. Now it turns out that the great controversy is net money between Agudath Israel and Degel HaTorah.

A senior in Degel responded yesterday to Behadrey Haredim that the blame is on Chanoch Zeibert who serves as secretary general of Agudath Israel who instructed them not to pass on the payment, and in addition Agudah owes the mutual fund a million and a half shekels.

Sources close to Zeibert said in response to Behadrey Haredim "Degel HaTorah initially received from us full credit to manage all the financial affairs of the elections, they themselves alone and autonomously. We relied on them to conduct everything in an equitable and proportionate manner.

"Recently, Agudath Israel has decided to stop giving them autonomic control and asked for details of bookkeeping what has come out until today, to whom, what cities received and according to what, they accuse us that we owe money to the joint fund and do not want to pay."

Agudath Israel continues on and says - "Regarding their claim to Zeibert too, all of this was created in the last two months and the country has already paid immediately and there was money in the party's fund even before the elections. And that is the truth – over the last two months Agudath Israel does not release money to anyone."

Will Zeibert and Schiffman work things out between them and the thousands of activists will be able to get the money for the coming holidays? Time will tell, until then the sides will continue and blame each other, and activists will continue to roll over loans undertaken privately.
