After two days: Stabbing again at Tapuach junction

After a two days lapse, again an attempted stabbing at the intersection of Tapuach: a Palestinian terrorist tried today (Monday), to stab a Border Policeman and was shot dead.

In the afternoon, at around 13:00, a Palestinian terrorist who arrived at Tapuach junction from the south, approached Border Policemen who are manning the checkpoint, saying he was not feeling well, the fighters told him to approach and when he came near he pulled out a knife and tried to stab one of the fighters in his ear.

A 20-year old warrior was very lightly injured, and managed to repel the terrorist while another fighter cocked his weapon and fired to neutralize the terrorist who was mortally wounded – and died.

Shomron Regional Council head Yossi Dagan said in response: "We thank the security forces for the rapid action. I call on the prime minister to back the soldiers publicly for their actions and unwavering determination that saved many lives today both of soldiers and of civilians who were present."
