Tragedy in the haredi community in Antwerp: the young yeshiva student Rabbi Yoel Tironiar z"l aged 29, was killed late afternoon in a car accident, which occurred while driving his car in a mountainous region in the country.
He was one of the greatest late Satmar activists in the city. He was born in the US to his father Rabbi Yisrael Tironiar. After his marriage he moved to Antwerp in Belgium. His father- in-law, is Rabbi Moshe Meir Mairzon respected members of the Orthodox community in Antwerp.
People who know Yoeli z"l in Antwerp tell of a gentle avrech, a man of grace, servant of God welcoming each and every one, the Haredi community in Antwerp is broken, even now during the vacation period - a time when people go to rest in the mountains mourning and crying among residents is apparent.
He was a man gifted with knowledge of the Talmud and the rabbis, besides he was endowed with a pleasant voice, and would sing at weddings. He would also go to hospitals and homes of families with friends and make them happy.
He served in his role as chairman of the overall management of Satmar Hasidism in the city.
He is survived by his parents, his wife, and his children left without a father.
The funeral will be held in Antwerp.
