New Era: Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman appeared this morning (Monday) at the opening of discussions on the Committee on Drug Abuse and whilst making his opening remarks Litzman revealed that "the first time I saw the cannabis was last week. I have not seen it before nor have I touched it. "

During the hearing Litzman announced that medical cannabis will be transferred to pharmacies and will be subject to prescription by senior doctors only who receive this training from the Ministry of Health. Doctors will receive special training on the subject.

Litzman added that - "By High Court orders I referred to this issue after I was careful not to address this myself, but transferred it to professional bodies at the Ministry. But we must bring order and allow it for medical use only, and to prevent leakage ".

Committee member MK Yinon Magel said at the Committee: "I welcome the revolution led by Deputy Minister Litzman. It's time to make it easier for tens of thousands of patients in need of a natural medicine; I hope that the new process will lead to a truly long-awaited relief and in a short time. "
