DIP blame: Pinto denounced Bracha

DIP explains: Rabbi Pinto and his followers pumped incriminating information and without any basis against Brigadier General Ephraim Bracha.

Statement issued by the Ministry of Justice affair of the late Brigadier General Ephraim Bracha the Police Investigation Unit accuses Pinto and his relentless defamation of Brigadier General Ephraim Bracha and launching complaints after they checked it emerged that they are without basis.

"Since the late Brigadier General Ephraim Bracha gave his incriminating information against Rabi Pinto," the statement said, "there were many complaints and from Pinto and his associates, attributed to Brigadier General Bracha of various offenses. As required, these were tested throughout the period, according to the attorney general's directive and the state prosecutor.

"We have thoroughly tested in the past in the case of Bracha which yielded no reason not to open a criminal investigation. Also, there was no cause to prevent his appointment to head the National Fraud Unit. Against these decisions petitions were filed in the High Court and the Supreme Court rejected petitions outright - a judgment given in June 2014 other possible determined that there is no impediment to the appointment of Brigadier General blessing, and judgment in February 2015 established that indeed there are no grounds to open a criminal investigation against him.

"Recently we received new information which originates from a factor related to Pinto, and untested before, but was essentially similar to those under examination which had not found anything. A resolution of the Attorney General, it was decided last week to check this information, as is customary and required. Due to the sensitivity test transferred periodically reports to the attorney general and state prosecutor. This test was at the beginning and at the meeting held last Thursday when the attorney general decided what measures will be taken for further examination, but has not been any decision to initiate an investigation against Deputy Inspector General Bracha.

"In general, the policy is not to disclose confidential information about the trial while pending, and therefore have not posted any message on our behalf last week. On Sunday, after the tragic death of Brigadier General Bracha, it as has been alleged in the media as the Attorney General to open a criminal investigation against Bracha. Since this report was false, it was announced that clarifies that such publication would not have any basis.

"We do not intend to elaborate on the subject content of the test, because there is no room for it, for obvious reasons, understandable. However, we must again emphasize that throughout the years, despite the complaints which arrived; there has been no evidentiary basis that would justify opening an investigation.
