Prosor to UN Secretary General: "You condemned terrorism - also condemn terrorism in Israel"

Following the recent terrorist attacks, and the murder of Malachi Moshe Rosenfeld hy"d, Israel's UN Ambassador Ron Prosor, contacted the UN Secretary General and the Security Council, demanding to condemn the events: "the past two weeks, since the beginning of Ramadan, there is a dramatic increase in attacks against Israelis. Almost every day we are witnessing a shooting or stabbing incident ".

Prosor referred to the Secretary-General's statement last week: "These terrorist attacks are part of a trend of intensified global terrorism. Only a few days ago you condemned the terrorist incidents in France, Tunisia and Kuwait vehemently. You called out to prosecute those responsible for the violence and said those brutal attacks reinforce the commitment of the United Nations fight against manifestations of murder and destruction of human civilization.

"We join your call, and look forward to condemning in the same way the Israeli offensive. Terrorism is terrorism, regardless of where it explodes. Israeli citizens deserve the same concern and empathy which you're shown to the rest of the world. These attacks are a direct result of incitement by the Palestinian Authority media and school system ".

Prosor continued to attack the Palestinian leadership: "Even after all the violent incidents, the Palestinian leadership is silent, and does not condemn the murder of innocent people. I urge you and the Security Council to condemn the terrorist incidents immediately and also call the Palestinian Authority to condemn the violence."
